Up
until
three
years
ago
I’d
never
fished
in
the
States
before
but
a
visit
to a
small
town
in
New
York
State,
to
compete
in
The
St
Lawrence
Challenge
in
2006
has
changed
all
that.
My
first
encounter
with
the
great
river
its
inhabitants
and
the
people
that
lived
in
the
little
town
of
Waddington
made
my
first
visit
a
trip
to
remember,
so
much
so
that
I
vowed
to
return.
During
that
all-important
first
visit
I
met
Jerry
and
Marcy
Laramay
from
American
Carp
Adventures
and
made
plans
to
return
for
the
St
Lawrence
Challenge
in
2007.
I
was
so
impressed
by
the
set
up
at
the
Laramay’s
that
I
took
the
whole
family
back
out
there
for
the
2007
event
and
booked
into
their
motel,
Lakeview.
As I
sit
and
write
this
now
it’s
February
of
2008
and
there
isn’t
a
day
that
goes
by
without
me
thinking
about
the
great
time
that
my
family
and
I
had
during
our
2007
vacation.
American
Carp
Adventures
caters
for
all
walks
of
life
and
there’s
no
greater
equal
than
the
might
of
the
St
Lawrence
River
and
the
vast
shoals
of
carp
that
swim
beneath
its
depths.
The
carp
fishing
action
is
second
to
none,
the
accommodation
is
fantastic,
and
the
people
you
meet
will
become
friends
for
life.
I
defy
anyone
to
find
a
venue
that
offers
so
much
for
the
carp
angler
and
his
family.
I
can’t
recommend
American
Carp
Adventures
enough,
but
I
would
say
that
if
you’ve
never
been
to
the
States
before
and
you’re
seeking
fast
furious
action
from
hard
fighting
river
carp,
then
this
is
the
place
to
visit.
Oh,
I
almost
forgot!
In
two
visits
to
fish
in
the
St
Lawrence
Challenge
my
partner
and
I
have
caught
well
in
excess
of
2,400lb
of
carp
in
six
days
angling
and
were
lucky
enough
to
finish
second
and
fifth
in
consecutive
years…
I
think
we
also
won
somewhere
in
the
region
of
$6,000!
What
are
you
waiting
for…
